MEMORANDA [2]

The Winter of 1889 - 90 was in Nov a week of frost & a little ice. On Jan 8th everything was blooming & budding to bloom even

to the Mesquite. Jan 18th & 17th, 1890 cold enough to have ice til 12 N. each day.

[NOTE: Our page 5 is actually the bottom part of page 3 of the family Bible, cropped and

rotated 180 degrees. Apparently, when the original “Memoranda” page

(our page 4) was full, the next few memoranda entries were made on the bottom of the

“Deaths” page (our page 3) but written with the page rotated 180 degrees.

Then, after a few entries were made on the bottom of that page in that way,

a new “Memoranda” page was started with the heading/title of the new page

(our page 6) added by hand in script. Here is a photo of page 3 of the

family Bible with the contents of "our page 5" showing, upside down, at the bottom.]
