On 23 Apr 1969, John Leonard TRACY, Sr., (1928-2009) and his two eldest children, John Leonard “Johnny” TRACY, Jr.
(1951-2008) and Carol Jeanette TRACY OGLE, accompanied by TRACY Sr's wife's uncle Henry Edward “Ed” EDGAR Sr.
(1895-1977), visited the EDGAR Family Cemetery to clean and document the graves of our ancestors.
"I am pretty sure I went with Daddy, Uncle Ed and my older brother to the Edgar Family Cemetary. I remember going through
quite a few gates that Daddy or Uncle Ed had to get out of the car to open then close again once we got passed. We were
driving on either a dirt road or no road. I think Uncle Ed was driving. It was way back on somebody's property. The
headstones were hard to find as the weeds were badly overgrown. I was probably 11 or 12 when we did this. I remember we
did not stay very long and at some point I was told to get back in the car while Uncle Ed and Daddy looked for head
stones. About ten years ago I told my Dad about this event. I really did not remember much about it but my Dad said it was
the Edgar Cemetary. I think this was around 1967. Carol Jeanette " email from Carol Jeanette TRACY OGLE, 28 February,

"Here is what I found out. After talking to mother and Lee, it seems that we were probably in two cars with Uncle Ed and Aunt
Helen in the first car. Uncle Ed would get out and open the gates. Mother, Daddy, Lee and I were in the second car. Daddy
was driving. The date is probably right although my mother can't believe that Lee can remember all of this. Daddy was very
good at dates so I don't think it was a mistake. Anyway, yes, everyone remembers the high weeds and all the gates while
driving to the back of someone's property. Mother remembers the ruins of the house that you asked me about. I guess that
was the Edgar house. Mother says that she and Aunt Helen did not go into the cemetery. Uncle Ed had warned them about
some of the graves sinking in and they were worried that the graves might just cave in. Also they had been warned about
snakes. I think I did get out of the car and I did go into the cemetery. I remember thinking that looking for the headstones was
kind of like an Easter egg hunt. I think at some point I was told to get back in the car though. Probably they were worried I
would get hurt. I asked Mother if Daddy ever was at the cemetery before or after this event and she said she did not think so.
She said that Aunt Audrey pointed the location out to Daddy one time when they had driven past but did not go on the
property. She does not remember when that was. I am going to mother's in about a week during Spring break. I will look for
pictures then. Keep up the good work, Carol Jeanette" email from Carol Jeanette TRACY OGLE, 03 March 2013

"Attached is a copy of one of the pages of information he gave me after my mother’s funeral in 1993. I think this was
something he typed from notes he took on his visit (or one of his visits) to the cemetery." email from Robert Merritte WEBB, 28
