INTRODUCTION

[Sourced as [TDE 1932] TDE with William Morrison EDGAR genealogy [S290]]

In 1932, the original 1931 document was paginated, printed, copied and bound into a small booklet, and it was sold at the

“second annual” EDGAR family reunion, held in Wright’s Grove at Ava, Jackson Co, ILLINOIS, about twenty-five (25) miles

southeast of Sparta, Randolph County, ILLINOIS, on Labor Day, 05 September 1932. The price to purchase the booklet was

$0.12 each. I have obtained photocopies of the pages of this booklet with all of the information as originally researched,

written, and printed by TDE in 1931.

It is probable the last three pages of this 1932 edition, pages 11 - 13, were not written by TDE but were added by the

person who produced and collected the fee for the 1932 booklet. This probability is based on three data points.

• TDE died in an accident 25 February 1932, over six months before the September 1932 second annual EDGAR

family reunion, during which this edition was presented.

• These last three pages contain the descendants, not of TDE,  but of TDE's father's brother, William Morrison EDGAR.

• In addition, these three pages are presented after TDE's signature, which also suggests they were annexed to the

original TDE 1931 research.

And, I have obtained and scanned a copy of a newspaper article describing the 1932 EDGAR Family

Reunion in which a letter from TDE’s family was noted. Although TDE died accidentally prior to that

second reunion, his mother, Sarah Jane ALEXANDER EDGAR was still alive then at age 96.
