From Hallettsville.
Go south from the Hallettsville Courthouse in downtown Hallettsville on
US-77 ALT about 11 miles. Turn right onto Co Rd 531. Go about 2.8 miles.
A CEMETERY sign will indicate right turn ahead. Just past the CEMETERY
sign, turn right on to Co Rd 307. Go about 0.3 miles. The cemetery is on
the left. The gate and the large sign (which is inside the fence) are clearly
visible from the road.
From Yoakum.
Go north from the intersection of US-77 ALT and Co. Rd 111 in downtown
Yoakum about 6.2 miles. Turn left onto Co. Rd 531. Go about 2.8 miles. A
CEMETERY sign will indicate right turn ahead. Just past the CEMETERY
sign, turn right on to Co Rd 307. Go about 0.3 miles. The cemetery is on
the left. The gate and the large sign (which is inside the fence) are clearly
visible from the road.

The cemetery marker by the front gate says:

Francis G. Culpepper
came to Texas in 1851
with his wife and 16
children. Also brought
a colony
He was a Primitive Baptist
a descendant of
Lord Culpepper of England
and an outstanding citizen
of Lavaca County
Born 21 Jan 1804
Died 21 Oct 1903
The cemetery is fenced and fairly large but it has only 49 markers.
The oldest is for Rev. Orin Guthrie, who died 9 October 1854.

on 77A. Turn right on FM 531. Take the first road to the right
and the cemetery is up this road on the left, about .3 of a mile.
